The guiding principle of India Ratings’ Corporate Social Responsibility program is “Impact through Empowerment”, where empowerment is driven by providing health care and opportunity to develop skills to manage ones livelihood.

We strive to ensure that the communities engaged through our CSR initiatives also experience certainty in their lives. Hence we have focused on providing health care and skill based training to tribal population.

As part of this principle, India Ratings has chosen to support Shri Ramakrishna Arogya Sansthan (SRAS), a not-for-profit organization, engaged primarily in providing healthcare and nourishment facilities in the tribal areas of Nashik Maharashtra. The organization also provides skill based training programmes to tribal youth in the region through its institute “Vivekananda Technical Institute” at Pegalwadi, Trimbakeshwar, Nashik in areas such as - apparel manufacturing, carpentry, electrical and plumbing apprenticeship, mobile phone repairing, computer repairing, skilled labour in welding and fitting and construction supervision. India Ratings is also supporting SRAS in building a 100-bed hospital (Vivekananda Rugnalaya) at Trimbakeshwar, Nashik District.

India Ratings has also joined hands with Maharashtra State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society(IRSC) to improve medical infrastructure of Bel Air hospital at Panchgani, Maharashtra State, managed by IRCS. As a part of this initiative, India Ratings will supply medical equipment and medical supplies to Bel Air hospital and also execute certain civil work for oxygen plant being set up by the hospital.
